About

A construction company that learned to raise, not a fund that learned to build

Abranova is a full-stack real estate investment and construction development platform. We use technology and a data-driven approach to find investment opportunities, and we are vertically integrated to develop, construct and asset-manage those properties through to a successful exit or a long-term hold.

How we got here

It started with watching large contractors waste money

Abranova was founded in 2017 by a preconstruction engineer who had spent his career inside one of the largest contractors in the country, watching inefficiencies that the industry had long since stopped noticing. The idea was simple: a development firm that answers to its investors, and does the building itself so there is nobody to blame when the numbers slip.

Over 33 employees, most of them working as laborers, carpenters, concrete finishers, equipment operators, site-work and utility installers.

Our ability to execute site-work and vertical construction in-house is what gives us an edge over other developers in delivering ground-up projects to the market at competitive proforma projections.

Our underwriters are MBAs and financial analysts with construction backgrounds. Our marketing and sales team processes thousands of leads and hosts property tours for prospective buyers and renters.

Leadership

Who is accountable for the money

Abraham Ng'hwani

CEO and Founder

Abraham is the CEO and Founder, hailing from a construction and real estate family background before working for Gilbane Building Company, one of the largest contractors in the nation.

The idea of a vertically integrated construction development firm evolved during his tenure as a preconstruction engineer; observing the inefficiencies that large contractors have normalised inspired him to found an investor-focused development firm.

He graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Duke University, where he was a Reginaldo Howard Scholar, and is active with the Board of Visitors at the Pratt School of Engineering.

Come build with us

We hire laborers, carpenters, concrete finishers, equipment operators and site-work crews — and the analysts and project managers who keep them supplied.
